Suez proposes Veolia to negotiate on basis of a Ardian-GIP offer

PARIS (Reuters) – French waste and water management company Suez has proposed its rival Veolia to negotiate on the basis of a firm offer by investment firms Ardian and Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), the companies said on Sunday.

Adrian and GIP’s offer of 11.9 billion euros ($14.16 billion) is equivalent to 20 euros per share based on an enterprise value of 15.8 billion euros, Suez said in a statement.

The offer targeted several activities including French Water and recycling activities, as well as several Water and Technology activities at the international level, it said.
