Carlisle stock gains as earnings show sales bump
Carlisle Cos. CSL, +0.20% posted stronger profit and revenue in its latest quarter as the manufacturer reported solid demand for construction materials, aircraft building and off-highway vehicles.
The company said Tuesday second-quarter revenue rose 26% from a year earlier to $1.24 billion. This beat an estimate of $1.18 billion by analysts polled by Thomson Reuters.
The manufacturing company’s net income also increased to $113.7 million, or $1.85 a share, from $102.3 million, or $1.58 a share, in the corresponding quarter of 2017.
Shares rose 3% in post-market trading Tuesday.
