Lay’s to release lobster roll chips and other outlandish flavors

Some of the most outlandish potato chip flavors are about to hit store shelves — including Deep Dish Pizza, Fried Pickles With Ranch, and New England Lobster Roll.

The new flavor lineup, from Lay’s, will hit retail July 30, the company said Thursday.

Which flavor will be in your neighborhood store depends on where you live, as Lay’s will distribute one of the eight new flavors to a specific region of the country.

“Lay’s knows how significant local cuisine is to Americans,” said Sarah Guzman, senior director of marketing at Lay’s.

“We wanted to honor the beloved flavors that remind our fans of home by making ‘Tastes of America’ our biggest flavor launch yet.”

The other five flavors are Cajun Spice, Chile Con Queso, Chesapeake Bay Crab Spice, Pimento Cheese and Thai Sweet Chili.
