Harry Potter fans will be very excited when they see what Lego has just launched

Just in time for Harry Potter ‘s birthday on July 31st, Lego has launched a seriously incredible new building set: the iconic Hogwarts castle.

Complete with cascading turrets, the statement moving staircases and even a Hungarian horntail flying into one of the towers, the entire set is 6,020 pieces in total – the largest Harry Potter Lego set to date.

But so many pieces of Lego certainly don’t come cheap, with the whole set costing a huge £349.99 in total.

News of the insane new addition has only just been announced, although the Lego Hogwarts castle won’t actually be available to buy until the 15th August.

Measuring in at over 22” (58cm) high, 27” (69cm) wide and 16” (43cm) deep, avid Lego fans can build the iconic chambers, towers and classrooms, as well as specially created buildable stained-glass windows plus house banners that adorn the walls of the hall during the grand banquets.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there, with no detail spared when it comes to memorable scenes from the franchise, such as inside Professor Dumbledore’s office, which even contains the famous Pensieve.

In the grounds of the castle is Hagrid’s Hut, complete with Aragog the Acromantula (if you dare to build him, that is) before venturing out to the Whomping Willow, featuring a buildable flying Ford Anglia car stuck in its spinning branches.

Once you’ve built the set (we reckon it will take more than a few hours), you can recreate the critically acclaimed film series, such as taking on a Boggart in Defence against the Dark Arts with Dolores Umbridge, using some of the 27 microfigures also included, such as Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger and Albus Dumbledore.
