You can now get a free Aperol Spritz delivered to your front door
It might still be cold and wet outside, but that doesn’t mean we can’t drink Aperol.
Especially if it’s free, as Aperol have decided to celebrate their 100th anniversary this year by dishing out free drinks to the orange-drink loving Brits.
To help Brits combat the January blues with a splash of orange, Aperol – Italy’s iconic orange bittersweet aperitif – has announced the return of Aperol-ivery, its free, doorstep Aperol Spritz delivery service, for four days only.
It all kicks off next Monday (21st January), which is also known as Blue Monday, where it will be handing out the goods for two days across the Greater London area.
After that, it will continue on to two further cities – Brighton and Bristol – on 23rd and 24th January 2019.
Sadly, you’ll need to apply to be in with a chance of getting the freebie, but it’s completely free to apply. All you need to do is enter your details at www.aperolivery.com.
All the deliveries will be made between 4pm and 10pm, and if you do miss out, those not lucky enough to be selected for an Aperol-ivery can easily make it themselves – it will just cos you a few quid.
A bottle of the bright stuff currently costs £15 a pop at the likes of Tesco, Asda and Morrisons, with Waitrose selling it for £1 more, at £16.
Once you’ve picked up the statement tipple, you’ll also need to get a bottle of Prosecco, some soda and an orange for garnish, and then follow the four simple steps below.
- Fill a large wine glass with ice
- Combine prosecco followed by Aperol in equal parts
- Add a splash of soda
- Garnish with an orange slice
