Snap stock rises after company announces new Amazon partnership

Snap Inc. SNAP, -0.66% said Monday that it was testing out a new shopping partnership with Inc. AMZN, +0.20% Snapchat users will be able to aim their phone cameras at a product or barcode, and they’ll then see a pop-up on the screen that enables them to see shopping results for that item on Amazon’s site. Snap is rolling out the feature slowly, the company said in a blog post. Shares are up 1.5% in Monday’s session, while Amazon’s stock is little changed. Snap shares have fallen 33% over the past 12 months, as the S&P 500 SPX, -0.47% has gained 17%.
