10 ‘dream’ jobs revealed – and surprisingly they won’t make you rich
A new list of the nation’s ‘dream’ jobs has been revealed – and it includes wine tasting and even being a model.
Recruitment site Indeed have revealed the positions we’d all like to fill in an ideal world – but surprisingly, they won’t make us millionaires.
Topping the list is becoming a model – which is also the best payer at just over £40,000.
It’s followed by becoming a fashion buyer – that one very lucky person that gets to select the items that’ll be stocked for the next season (and probably stock up on lots of luxe samples in the process).
It pays £31,404 on average – and is the second highest of all the list.
Incredible jobs you can do
Next up is being a private investigator – which, let’s face it, would put all of that Facebook stalking to good use.
Then you’ve got becoming a food technologist (because who doesn’t love food), being a journalist and – cue the awws – becoming a dog walker.
Lower down the list, you’ll find a sommelier – which pays a £23,114 and is basically perfect for wine lovers (or experts).
Then comes an in-ground football correspondent at £20,628 and wedding planner at £19,491 – which proves many of us are willing to sacrifice pay for happiness.
Finally, budding horticulturists can expect a pay packet of just over £17,101 – or £8.77 an hour.
Top 10 dream jobs – can you relate to any?
Bill Richards, at Indeed , said: "Having a job that allows us to feel truly fulfilled is something worth chasing, and it can be mutually beneficial.
"For employers, finding an employee who is entirely suited to the role will lead to more innovative and committed team players whose intuition and drive can lead to better results.
"By highlighting that many dream jobs are within touching distance, we hope this will inspire people to invest in themselves and achieve fulfillment both personally and professionally."
