Briton originally from Sudan named as suspect in U.K. attack

Salih Khater, a 29-year-old British citizen who is originally from Sudan, has been named as the suspect in Tuesday’s attack by the U.K. Houses of Parliament, according to multiple published reports. The suspect had traveled to London late on Monday from Birmingham, where he had recently lived in a rented apartment in Sparkbrook, an area that has been previously linked with terrorist plots, said a report by the U.K.’s Times newspaper. A car crashed into barriers outside the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday morning in a suspected terrorist attack, injuring several people just yards away from the site of an attack last year.
